Velgard’s Trial

A portal tears open over Tokyo, monsters spill out, and the government seals it before quietly forgetting that the leak already poisoned the city. Years pass, and the kids born from that contamination grow up with magic powers they didn't ask for.

One of the squads formed from those children gets sent through the portal into the Kingdom of Velgard to settle what's described as a village problem. It isn't. What starts as a simple fix turns into something the squad clearly wasn't briefed for, and the game leans into the kind of complications that come with other people's partners and other people's kingdoms.

You follow that squad's mission into Velgard, working through the village's troubles as they escalate, with the male lead caught between duty and the corruption and cheating angles the game is built around. This is a first release, so the world and its problems are still just getting started.
