Rent-a-Husband

Broke, unemployed, and out of options, the hero starts renting himself out as a husband-for-hire, which sounds simple until it turns into a tangle of jobs, favors, and clients who want more than the yard mowed.

What starts as a way to pay rent grows into a longer road of relationships and choices, with the small gigs opening doors to bigger opportunities and messier situations along the way.

Day to day, you take odd jobs around the neighborhood to build up cash and skills, using a phone to track your status and how far things have gone with the people you meet. Progress comes from picking jobs, showing up, and following where certain clients — like the ever-present Mrs. Collins next door — decide to take things.
