Naruto: The Trials of Menma

Konoha's early days get rewritten with Menma standing where Naruto should be, Naruto's quieter and stranger counterpart taking the lead instead. The tone stays close to the source material's ninja-village setup, just tilted toward whoever this other boy turns out to be.

The story follows Menma through the Leaf's political and personal undercurrents, fighting rival shinobi while digging into secrets the village would rather keep buried. The core choice runs the length of the game: bond with the people around you, or let ambition curdle into something darker. Nothing about the ending is fixed until you decide which way Menma leans.

Play consists of visual novel dialogue and choice points broken up by shinobi duels, with your decisions steering which relationships deepen and which get burned. Later chapters expand specific character paths rather than widening the whole story at once, so replaying with different choices matters more than exploring new areas. It's a slow build toward one of two futures, told mostly through text and stills rather than spectacle.
