Burner Phone

The phone still works, and you kept it for a reason: this is texting fiction, told entirely through messages you shouldn't be sending at the hour you shouldn't be awake. No sim, no trace, just her name lighting up the screen and the choice of what you type back.

Two numbers to start. Nadia is the ex who ended things a year ago and texts you the second her new guy falls asleep, neither of you stopping. Sage is the stepsister who's sweet to the parents and filthy to you, one hallway between your rooms and a bet that gets out of hand the night she stops pretending.

You reply, she reacts, the conversation goes where you steer it, tone and heat included, toward one of several endings per girl. The photos she sends aren't dumped on you, they're earned through the conversation, and they land in a gallery you keep and can set as wallpaper, which is reason enough to run a night twice and take it the other way. It's built like a real phone, too: close it mid-thread and she'll still be waiting when you pick it back up.
