About
Bea is stuck, twenty-something, and tired of going nowhere, so she quits her routine cold and drives off across Canada with no real plan. Along the way she picks up Hart, a stranger who's just as unmoored as she is, and who isn't telling her everything.
The trip becomes less about scenery and more about the two of them figuring out whether either one can actually change course, or whether they're just running. Bea's coworker Kat rounds out the opening chapter as the last piece of the life Bea's trying to leave behind.
This is a kinetic novel, so there's no branching to steer, just Bea's story unfolding scene by scene from her point of view as her feelings for Hart complicate the road trip. The first episode runs on roughly 350 rendered scenes and its own original score, so it's built with more care than the premise alone suggests.
