About
Two survivors cross a ruined future on their way toward the city of Haven, and the world does not make that easy. Hope is thin, danger is constant, and every stretch of ground has to be fought for or scavenged.
The story follows the pair as they run into deadly threats, dig up secrets the wasteland would rather keep buried, and end up allied with people they'd never have trusted back when things worked. Getting to Haven is the goal; getting there in one piece is the plot.
Outside the story beats, you're managing territory rather than just watching it unfold. Zones like the Forest have to be held through recurring events and battles, the Abandoned City hides buildings worth picking clean for limited resources, and a functioning Laboratory gives you somewhere to track your people's condition and push the run forward through turn-based fights and item drops. It's less a straight visual novel and more a survival loop with a story bolted on. The game was originally released under the name "Outlast," in case the title rings a bell from somewhere else.
