About
Aldric Vane takes a mercenary contract because nine coppers and a leaking roof don't leave room to be picky. The goblin-held mine goes wrong, he drags himself out bleeding, and the only healer awake in Valdmere's worst district patches him up with a vial that does a lot more than close a wound.
By morning his skin is softer. By day three his waist has changed. By day seven the mirror shows him something he doesn't have a word for yet, and the alchemist who sold him the potion has vanished so completely that nobody remembers her face. He and Mira have thirty days to find her, or an answer, before whatever this is stops being reversible. The game isn't really asking if Aldric finds the cure. It's asking if he still wants one by the time he does.
Played through text and point-and-click navigation around Valdmere, talking to Mira, chasing leads on the missing alchemist, and watching the transformation move forward one uneasy morning at a time whether the player pushes it or not. Mira, for what it's worth, only knows how to say she's worried by insulting him.
Changelog
- STORY
- Day 4 fully written and implemented. Aldric wakes to the changes accelerating overnight — skin smoother, stubble all but gone, chest hair thinning to nothing. He and Mira head to the Cistern District to confront Ysolde about it, wait on her apprentice Nella, and get a partial answer that reframes what the vial actually did. The day rolls on through lunch at the Broken Antler, locking in the escort contract with Voss and the advance pay, and a supply run through the market before the road out of Valdmere.
- STORY
- Day 3 fully written and implemented. Aldric wakes up the morning after Ysolde's vial and something is already wrong - the skin too smooth, the stubble too thin, the nerve endings turned up to a frequency they've never used before. Two branching paths through the morning depending on whether you waited for Mira or went downstairs alone, each one landing differently.
- The Consortium debt gets a shape. Mira's tunnel map buys them breathing room, Voss gives them the escort contract, and Grent comes knocking right on schedule.
- SIDE QUEST
- TESS RETURNS - The barmaid who read Aldric's scars like a book is back, and this time she's reading something else. A continuation of the Barmaid's Eye questline from 0.0.1. Tess notices the changes before Aldric is ready to name them - the skin, the stubble, the way he's holding himself. She doesn't push. She just sees, and seeing is the most unsettling thing she could do.
