Raven's search for her missing mother leads her into a fallen research facility where something goes badly wrong, and she comes out of it carrying a symbiote she didn't ask for. The rest is about what that thing does to her body, her judgment, and her choices as it settles in.

Caught between the human world and whatever the creature inside her is turning her into, Raven has to figure out if it's a curse, a weapon, or something she'd rather keep. That question doesn't get answered quickly, and it doesn't get answered the same way twice depending on what you choose for her.

Play consists of exploring the wreck of the complex and whatever lies past it, working through puzzles and hidden files, and fighting through turn-based encounters that get harder as the symbiote's influence grows. Corruption builds alongside the story rather than sitting off to the side, and the choices you make steer which of the multiple endings Raven ends up in. The prologue covers the opening stretch only, with a handful of quests, scenes, and outfits to work through before it cuts off.
