Shelly’s Future Past

A woman from the future shows up in Cyber City looking for Shelly, and it turns out she knows her far better than a stranger should. That's the hook: a time-travel errand that's really about stopping five men who never should have existed, before they turn Earth into whatever they turn it into.

Shelly's life has already been complicated before this future stranger arrives, and the story leans into that history rather than skipping past it. With her best friend Triss pulled into the trip as well, the three of them end up working the timeline together, which means the plot has room for more than one relationship to matter.
