Petulantia

Machines wiped out Earth's defenses and now hunt what's left of humanity across the stars, and the Petulantia is where the fleet dumps its problem cases. Commander Viktor Bratt, a washed-up ace with nothing left to prove, gets stuck training the cadets nobody else wanted: too wild, too disobedient, too much trouble for a real academy.

The war hasn't stopped for any of this. The Syntras are still out there, the fleet still needs pilots, and Bratt still has to turn a room full of chaos into something that can fly a mission without getting everyone killed.

You play as Bratt, moving through the academy's day-to-day as he tries to whip his cadets into shape while they do everything possible to test him, distract him, and ignore rank in general. It's a kinetic novel, so the story runs on rails: read, click through, watch the dynamic between a tired commander and his unmanageable crew play out. No branching to chase, no choices to second-guess, just the ride.
