Motherless

Sunny was separated from his mother at birth and grows up knowing almost nothing about her, so he sets out to find her. He doesn't realize it at first, but the woman who ends up hiring him is the same one who raised him until he was three. Both of them have changed a lot since then.

The search for his mother becomes the spine of the story, complicated by the fact that Sunny keeps ending up close to a woman he doesn't recognize as part of his past. What follows leans into a large, tangled household of women around him rather than a straightforward reunion.

Play stays in familiar visual novel territory: read, choose, and steer conversations and relationships as Sunny works his job and pieces together his history. A separate "What If" branch exists outside the main story, reusing the same characters and setting to answer one alternate turning point, but it's explicitly not part of the canon plot.
