About
Waking up with no memories and a body that isn't yours is a rough start, but waking up as a virus is worse. You're some kind of .Exe, the very thing you're supposedly fighting, and your only proof of a past life is a vague hunch that you used to be human and might have died getting here.
The world's overrun by hostile .Exe programs, and the only allies you've got are the ones you can talk into standing beside you, or fusing with you outright. Turn-based fights against the infection make up the resistance side of things, but the real trick is convincing other bodies to let you merge with them, borrowing their strength and, well, their form, to get stronger.
It plays like a straightforward RPG with a filthy secondary objective: build a party, fight the menace, and talk your way into taking over allies one transformation at a time. The tone leans on the joke of being the villain's tech demo turned reluctant hero, and it doesn't pretend to be anything heavier than that.
