Lost & Found

A phone call lands right as everything else in his life collapses—relationship over, job gone, eviction looming—and it drags up the lie his alcoholic Landlord told him as a kid: that his Landlady died in a car accident. She didn't, and the call is the first thread pulling that cover-up apart.

The story follows him back into the household he thought was gone, forcing him to deal with a guardian who lied for years and a woman who was never supposed to resurface. What starts as a search for answers about his own upbringing turns into him getting pulled into the lives, and beds, of the family he's rediscovering.

There's no branching here to speak of; it's a kinetic novel, so you click through rather than steer it, watching the reunions and relationships unfold in whatever order the writers decided on. Given the cast involved, expect the household to get crowded fast, with the romance spreading well beyond just the two people on the phone.
