An earthquake pushes Alyssa and Conrad out of their home and into the house of Conrad's step-aunt Stacey and her husband Roger, a CEO whose accident left him with memory gaps and a new problem in the bedroom. Caregiving starts out grateful and innocent. It doesn't stay that way.

The story tracks how small choices under one roof turn into something neither marriage can survive intact. Living in someone else's house, with someone else's problems, has a way of exposing what a couple actually wants.

You switch between multiple points of view, watching how the same situation looks different depending on who's making the decision. Choices steer Alyssa and Conrad toward temptation or away from it, with the branching paths leading to different endings depending on how far you let things go.
