Damien's father is dead, the debt collectors are at the door, and his mother has just explained that the family home is on the line. The morning starts normal and gets worse from there, and the game doesn't pretend otherwise.

What follows is Damien's attempt to keep the Sinclair family afloat by whatever means the situation demands, with the definition of "whatever means" getting looser the deeper he goes. How far he's willing to go is left up to the player, and the game treats that as the actual point of the story rather than a throwaway line.

You spend most of your time deciding how Damien pursues and responds to the people around him, main and side characters alike, each with their own quirks and a breaking point worth finding. Most major love interests split into two distinct routes, so the same relationship can go two very different directions depending on what you choose, and the tone shifts hard depending on which path you take. Each character also has their own set of sound effects rather than a shared generic set, a small touch that's easy to miss until you notice it's there.
