About
Ducking into a convenience store to escape the heat sounds harmless enough. Then the door locks behind you, the interior isn't the one you remember walking into, and she's standing there: short black hair, plain t-shirt and jeans, a stare that makes the decision to run feel optional at best.
The setup is simple and doesn't pretend otherwise. You're trapped somewhere unfamiliar with a woman whose presence works on you in ways that have nothing to do with conversation, and the story runs forward on its own from there rather than asking you to steer it.
There's no real choice-making here, just a kinetic novel with 2D scenes that push toward the obvious outcome while the title's own question, whether you actually want to run, answers itself pretty quickly. The humor stays dry rather than goofy, and the tension leans on watching and being watched as much as anything else.
Changelog
- AI Languages Update
- 9 languages with AI translation have been added!
- Simplified Chinese
- German
- Spanish
- Italian
- French
- Korean
- Japanese
- Turkish
- Vietnamese
- If you notice an issue with the translation, you can let us know on our Discord, and we’ll fix it in future updates.
- I also want to say thank you for your feedback on Discord and in the reviews. I see everything, I read everything. There might be a patch later related to the overall logic of the visual novel, but definitely not in the coming weeks. Thanks again for your feedback!
- Also no new patch, its just language update
- It's ready. Version 1.0. A lot of things I didn't do the way I wanted, a lot was redone, but it is what it is. I might make an update or an addition a little later, but the game is fully complete.
- +20k words of story
- 7 new endings
- 2 new CGs
- 1 new music track
- So, I had some things to take care of, but I've returned with a small update. I can immediately announce that the next update, scheduled for February (next month), will complete this small test story. There will be 3 paths in total. Without the patch, only 1 path is available, but it's complete.
- Overall, I have an idea for the next, non-test project, which would use my current developments. But I decided to fully complete this test project first before moving on to a new one. Everything is going according to plan.
- And I'm going silent again until the next, final update. Don't lose me, see you all in February.
- I can say right away that this is more of a refactoring of the current version. There's no new content here, only important fixes and preparation for the future. So if you've already played the demo—you haven't missed anything at the moment.
- Minor changes:
- Fixed a bug causing a critical error when exploring the house (thanks for the feedback!)
- Fixed skin tone on CG artwork
- Made slight changes to the Gothess's sprite (removed a highlight on the lower eyelid)
- Minor grammar and punctuation improvements
- Corrected over 400 lines of code (minor adjustments)
- Changed the font (for future translation versatility)
- Essentially, this update is a major preparation before the first big version. If you've already played the demo, you won't see anything critically new overall. But in the next version, there will be something to look at even for those who played before. The game's structure has been completely reworked, and a foundation has been laid for the core of future updates. Specifically, you can now walk around the house and change the time of day. Stress and trust systems have also been added. For now, these systems don't have time to affect the gameplay yet, but that will change in the next update. Choices have been added closer to the end of the demo, which are currently used as placeholders. Their development you will see in the next update.
- The "—" symbols have been removed from the text. Thank you for the feedback.
- + 3k words of story
- + 1 music track
- additional 3000 words
- 2 new music
- patch mechanics
