About
Snape's dunning Hermione for tuition the moment she graduates, so the staff hand her a shop on the Hogwarts grounds instead of letting Snape shake her down. It's set up as a fresh start, but the castle itself has other plans: this particular corner of Hogwarts has a habit of loosening people's inhibitions.
Hermione ends up running the place, dealing with a fireplace hooked up to floo powder, a counter full of magical items, and whoever wanders in through either. The shop-management routine is the frame, but the real point is watching Hermione get steadily worn down by a building that won't let anyone keep their guard up.
