Hidden Badge

Framed for a partner's death and stripped of his badge, Ryoji goes back into the underworld anyway, working the same criminal circles that ended his career. The setup is grim, but the story runs on tangled loyalties as much as revenge.

Rinn, his old classmate from the Bureau, ends up as the one person he can trust, which is its own problem once the case brushes up against her family. Her younger sister Yaoyin surfaces in places she shouldn't be, denying everything while the evidence piles up, and Ryoji's friend Kaiza keeps inserting himself into both women's lives under the cover of helping out. The corruption trail runs straight up through the PSB's own ranks, tying Ryoji's search for the truth to people who'd rather he stopped looking.

Play moves between story scenes and a sandbox layer where you steer Ryoji through the investigation at your own pace, with turn-based fights breaking up the digging and confrontation. The threads around Rinn, Yaoyin, and Kaiza are built as ongoing routes rather than one-off scenes, and the writers are still adding to them chapter by chapter rather than wrapping things up in one go.
