Gorgo – Mother of Sparta

Sparta's king is dead at Thermopylae, and his widow Gorgo gets laughed out of the Athenian war council. So she comes to Ephialtes for help, the same corrupt economic baron who sold Leonidas out in the first place, and she has no idea.

That betrayal sits underneath everything as you, Ephialtes, decide what to do with a grieving queen who's asking the wrong man for favors. It's less a war story than a slow con, played out in council rooms and private meetings while Sparta's actual war effort limps along in the background.

You manage that war effort and the city's economy alongside your dealings with Gorgo, working from a sandbox setup rather than a fixed script. Scenes with her build gradually, seeding events for later rather than resolving anything fast. The current build is more of a framework than a finished game, with a few short scenes and the underlying systems in place to show where it's headed.
