Exploring Shipmates

A fresh Ensign reports for duty aboard the A.S.S. EXPLORER, a starship sent to answer a mysterious signal and make first contact with an unknown alien civilization. Command falls to Captain Arlena Willcox; how the Ensign fits into her crew is another matter entirely.

The years-long voyage doubles as a slow study of the ship's crew and whatever they find out among the stars, with the mission's success and the Ensign's personal entanglements riding on the choices along the way. Alien customs and relationships can be pursued or left alone, and the story branches depending on what the player decides at each step.

You steer conversations and decisions rather than the ship itself, working through crew and alien encounters that shift depending on your choices. This is an early release covering only the first zone, so the rest of the voyage is still charted territory rather than finished game.
