Druid of Hungwood

The village of Hungwood is overrun, and the knight responsible has locked away every hero who might have stopped it. That leaves the job to Rodin, a merchant and leaf-caster with no business fighting monsters but no one else left to do it.

Rodin's answer is to build a party instead of a legend: the dwarven blacksmith and runecaster Dorik, the orc Murag, the somber dragon Gildrath, and the werewolf Cliff all sign on to help retake the village and free the imprisoned heroes.

Combat runs turn-based, but killing isn't the only way through a fight. Enemies willing to have fun instead of war can be won over rather than put down, and the party mechanics mean you're rotating four very different personalities through those encounters rather than grinding solo. This release covers a single early zone, with the rest of Hungwood presumably still locked behind that knight for now.
