A snake crawls across your actual desktop, not a menu screen, sliding over whatever windows you happen to have open. DeskX takes the old arcade loop and turns it into a screen overlay you can run in the background while you work or browse, which is a strange thing to admit is fun.

The play stays close to the original: guide the snake through increasingly cramped levels without it running into itself or the edges of your screen. Progress ties directly to reward, since clearing levels earns high-definition animated portraits of anime women who blink, breathe, and shift instead of sitting still. The better you play, the more of these Live Waifu Cards you get to keep. There is no story here, just a scorekeeper and a gallery that grows as your reflexes improve.
