Chihaya, the Girl of the Flower District

A shabby young girl named Chihaya is drawn into Okagai, the pleasure district where gambling, drinking, and the red-light trade all share the same streets. Whether that pulls her toward ruin or something better is the question the story keeps circling back to.

You play the man responsible for training her: an employee of Yoshiwara Kacho, the district's largest house, who has shaped apprentices before but finds this one different. Chihaya arrives with little grasp of the world and less feeling in her voice, so the work is twofold, teaching her the trade skills expected of an oiran while also teaching her how to simply live and enjoy things, all while his own guarded feelings start to slip.

The loop follows that mentor role directly: guiding Chihaya through her education, step by step, in a city that runs on both wealth's light and poverty's dark side.
