Captain Headsman

A king's writ and three months to bring a rebellious region to heel — that's the whole job. You are the Captain, and the peasants keep biting.

The region has slipped past the point of polite governance. The king wants order restored, and he doesn't care how. The Captain sets up shop, works the block, and lets the villagers watch each other die for their choices.

Play is built around the executioner's loop: pick who kneels, pick how they go, and let the rest of the village draw its own conclusions. Clean executions buy fear, night raids buy chaos, mercy buys suspicion — you're managing a population's nerves as much as its neck count. There are no good outcomes here, only whichever result you were sent to get. This is a first pass at the region, one zone deep, with the rest of the map still under the king's boot.
