Bound by Temptation

Naoki Tanaka loses everything in the space of a few weeks — job, money, his father vanished, his mother sick — and he's standing at the edge of suicide when Mizuki Aoi finds him and offers a way out. That way out is a contract, and the bar it ties him to isn't quite of this world.

The bar is a hiding place for fantastical beings who pass as human, and Naoki's new job puts him in the middle of them. Working off the contract means staying close to Mizuki, and getting closer means learning what she actually is, one night and one secret at a time. The stakes turn out to be bigger than his own freedom — what he uncovers threatens to unravel both worlds he's now caught between.

Play moves through this arrangement one shift at a time: talk to the bar's clientele, get pulled into their tangled affairs, and work toward the truth about Mizuki through the relationships that build along the way. A city map and a small side minigame give the routine somewhere to go besides straight dialogue, though the core of it stays a kinetic, choice-light novel about a man paying off a debt he didn't expect to owe.
