About
Nature ended humanity here, not war or invaders. A plague nicknamed "The plant" spread through pollen until grass swallowed the cities and the species died out in what the game calls a rattle of ridiculous agony. What's left is a handful of survivors, no governments, no laws, just you and whatever conscience you still have.
You're one of the last people standing in that dead world, and the story keeps you at the center of it from the first scene to the last. There's no state to answer to, so every hard call about who lives, who's used, and what "survival of the species" actually justifies falls on you.
Underneath the narrative sits an actual game loop: point-and-click exploration, an inventory to manage, collectibles to track down, and a skill tree to build up alongside the story. The tone stays bleak on purpose, and the game even offers a censorship toggle for anyone who'd rather not see how dark it gets.

- This month, we dove headfirst into Cyrillic characters and explosive consonants... A new milestone in the game’s accessibility: the Russian version of Apocalypse Lovers is now available by default, directly from the language menu. No need for mods, add-ons, or occult incantations — the option is there, ready to be selected in the settings. It’s smooth, it’s clean, it’s official.
- This was made possible thanks to the collaboration with a native Russian translator and our backend developer, who didn't hesitate to dive deep into the guts of the code to ensure that Dostoevsky's language could blend seamlessly with our post-apocalyptic succubi. We thank them both for their dedication and professionalism!
- Even parts of the game code were reworked and specific efforts were made to adapt variables to the linguistic quirks of the Russian language, particularly the declension system for proper nouns. Since players can freely choose the names of certain characters, these declensions couldn’t be hard-coded. So, new functions had to be implemented, giving the game engine added flexibility to treat the language properly — even in its most complex forms.

- Bug Fix: Skill Screen Performance
- Resolved an issue causing significant lag when displaying skill selection on the skill screen, which led to a major slowdown.
- Bug Fix: "Medical Inspection" Scene
- Fixed a bug in the "Medical Inspection" scene with Jessica in the Submissivness path, where the display of the [inspection] choice in brackets was misinterpreted by Ren’Py, resulting in unexpected behavior.
- New Feature: Customization Screen
- Introduced a brand-new customization screen with tailored scenes to help you fine-tune your text settings based on the environment, visibility, lighting, and more for a more immersive experience.

- I am actively working on the next chapter, but in the meantime, why not enjoy the regular updates I’ve been adding? Version 1.26 doesn’t introduce major progress in the storyline, but it significantly enriches the player experience and refines existing elements, including a brand-new introductory scene (1), the new skill system (2), and the inclusion of the French language ingame (3).
- Hey, as you know, the remake of Apocalypse Lovers was released for those who want to properly prepare before the launch of Chapter 3. However, a few minor bugs had sneakily found their way into the code. If you’ve already played the remake and didn’t notice anything, that’s normal, as these bugs appeared very rarely. However, if you’re planning to play the remake soon, it is strongly recommended that you play the version with the fixes, which is version 1.25b!
- The beta testing phase of the remake is finally over, and you’re about to discover this new version of the game, even sexier and more exciting, just the way you like it. As I’ve explained before, the idea behind this remake is simple: to offer those joining the adventure midway, as well as those wanting to relive Chapters 1 and 2, a greatly improved gameplay experience.
- The goal was to deliver a smoother and more polished experience while ensuring full compatibility with the upcoming Chapter 3. This way, you can continue your journey without interruption, with your saves intact and optimized gameplay. This remake now serves as a solid foundation for the quick and efficient development of Chapter 3. Whether it’s the new systems implemented or the upcoming translations, every element has been rethought to streamline the creation process and ensure a result that meets my personal standards.

- Fixed: the quick access buttons auto display without you having to press the "G" key (by default). This was a problem for some players which wasn't able to access their belt.
- Fixed : notifications that lasted indefinitely when fast forward mode was used (left ctrl or tab by default).
- Fixed : a sound bug that was sometimes played in loops in the final dreams.

- After all the difficulties encountered, I am very happy to finally announce the release of the Chapter 2! The beta testing phase has just ended and everything seems to be in order! But if by any chance you find a bug, please report it on the appropriate discord channel.
- I also take this opportunity to remind you, as I had announced previously, it's imperative to restart the game from the beginning, even if you have already played chapter 1. Because many scenes have been modified and improved even in chapter 1; so unfortunately you can't resume your old backups. If you still have one, it's even recommended to throw away what's left your old Apocalypse Lovers Folder before you embark on this new adventure!
- Alright, I know this update was long, but now it's here and I hope you will enjoy playing it as much as I liked creating it. I've put all my heart into it and I hope there is the right balance of content between lore developpment, adult action, story progression and funny scene. That being said, don't hesitate to contact me on social networks to share your feedback, whether positive or negative!
