About
Yoruhana borrows its structure from old-school JRPGs rather than the usual visual novel format, running on isometric pixel art with hand-drawn illustrations layered in for the important moments. Choices branch the story as you go, and the whole thing plays more like an actual game than a click-through.
Bella and her friends are on their way to a party in Blumenschaft, a town that's stranger than the invitation suggested. The trip becomes an excuse to meet the people living there, and what happens between them along the way.
You move Bella through the world with a controller or keyboard, picking dialogue that shapes where the story goes rather than just watching it unfold. Every line of dialogue has optional Japanese voice acting, which does a lot of the heavy lifting for tone even when the text stays restrained.
