Whispers of The Cursed Ring

A thousand years after Valthor the Shadowforge supposedly fell, the cursed Shadow Rings are turning out to be less of a legend than everyone hoped. Two elves, Elandor and Sylara, go looking for the last ring to destroy it before the old darkness gets a second wind.

The journey doesn't stay clean for long. As husband and wife push further into forests and mountains chasing an old prophecy, corruption and temptation start creeping in alongside the monsters, and the ring's whispers get harder to ignore. The story suggests the real danger by the end won't be the enemy they set out to fight, but whatever the ring has been quietly growing inside one of them.

You mostly follow that road as it unfolds, reading through Elandor and Sylara's trip and watching how the ring's influence changes what they're willing to do along the way. It's a straight, linear read rather than a game with branching choices to fuss over.
