USV Polaris

You graduate from the academy and end up serving under your own mother, captain of the USV Polaris, a civilian colony ship meant to spend eighty years in cryostasis on its way to a new world. Three years in, the ship goes dark instead.

When you come out of stasis, the Polaris has vanished from wherever it was supposed to be, the crew is fraying under the strain, and something has started moving through the cargo holds and maintenance ducts. Nobody says what, exactly.

Play stays close to that setup: you read through the unraveling situation aboard ship as a visual novel, watching tension build between crew members while the mother-captain dynamic keeps things personal rather than purely tactical. The game is still working through its opening chapters, so the real fallout from whatever's loose in the ducts is largely still ahead.
