The Long Way

The 13 Galaxies are in limbo, and your job is to turn order into chaos, strength into weakness, and leaders into puppets. The game admits upfront that there's barely any content yet, calling it the understatement of the year, but the underlying mechanics are built to support a near-endless cast of characters and locations rather than a handful of scripted scenes.

You move between ships and stations in a sandbox-style RPG loop, meeting new characters as fresh locations open up. Most of these encounters build toward a single unique scene per character rather than an ongoing relationship, so progress reads more like unlocking a gallery than following a story. The stated focus going forward is on deepening character interactions and building out the first proper world, which tells you plainly that what exists now is a foundation rather than a finished game.
