The Dreaming Tavern and Secret Training

A retired adventurer tried to run a tavern on his own terms and instead ended up bleeding coin into brothels while his bar filled with broke drunks. That's the joke and the setup at once.

Given one last shot at turning things around, he digs out his old gear, rounds up the companions who stuck with him, and heads back into the field to earn enough to actually rebuild the place he wanted to run in the first place.

Play splits between managing the tavern's slow decline and turn-based fights out on the road, with the money and favors picked up along the way feeding back into training, recruiting, and the various transactions the world throws at a broke ex-adventurer surrounded by scoundrels, patrons, and everyone else looking to profit off him or his companions.
