The Avenging Angel

Ashgrove is rotting from the inside: poverty up, crime up, women vanishing off the streets, and a police force too bought or too bored to care. Underneath the usual urban decay runs an older war, one between demons and angels that's finally spilling into plain sight.

The story follows a male protagonist who gets pulled into that war, caught between the city's human criminals and something considerably worse hiding in its shadows. It's a kinetic novel, so there's no branching to speak of — the plot moves forward on its own, dragging him through the gang trouble and the supernatural mess underneath it at the same time.

Play is straightforward reading: you follow the protagonist as he crosses paths with the women of Ashgrove, from demons and monster girls to the ordinary residents caught in the crossfire, with the story's harem and romance threads building alongside the fight against whatever's been taking women off the streets. There's no meaningful choice-making here, just a fixed story told through 3DCG scenes and animation.
