Combat still runs on turn-based encounters against the same monster girls causing his trouble in the first place, so the clinic sits alongside the dungeon rather than replacing it. Battles feed into the treatment scenes and back again, with voiced exchanges giving the clinic sessions more weight than a silent cutscene would.
