About
Emily stumbles onto her mother's old diary while cleaning the house and finds out the woman once went hunting for treasure in Portugal. That's reason enough for her to pack up and follow the same trail, curiosity about her mother's past doing most of the pushing.
The game follows Emily as she retraces that old journey, working through the same secretive path her mother left behind. It's a small mystery dressed up as a bigger one, and the pull is finding out what her mother was actually looking for.
Progress comes from completing tasks and solving quizzes rather than just clicking through scenes, so getting to the next reveal takes a bit of actual puzzling. The presentation leans on real photo and video material instead of drawn art, which gives the whole thing a rougher, more grounded feel than most games in this genre.
