About
Hired hand takes a farm job that turns out to be less about tractors and more about the town's very particular breeding traditions. The overview leans into the joke rather than away from it: fertility is serious business down here, and everyone involved wants a piece of the new guy.
The setup starts simple, chores on the ranch, favors for neighbors, then tips over into the town's stranger customs. Nobody warns you about those upfront. Playing it straight is technically an option, though the source itself doubts you'll manage it, and leaning into the local "traditions" is clearly the intended path if you want to see what the place is actually hiding.
You work the farm and surrounding town from a point-and-click sandbox, checking in on residents, taking odd jobs, and running into the various locals and creatures who make up the community's less wholesome side. Areas like the stables and certain characters' rooms open up as you go, so exploring is part of the loop rather than a one-time errand. A content filter exists for anyone who'd rather skip the stuff they're not into.

- Content filter has been added, those that aren't interested in certain content can disable it upon starting a new game or anytime via the player computer, more filters will be added to this over time

- You can now do extra work within the barn after morning work hours by interacting with the workbench.
- You can now choose between working with Klacie or Hibiscus during the morning, each rewarding the same amount of cash per day worked.
- You can now get your money back from wormwood if he still owes you it, you just need to steal it back
- Looking through the scrap pile behind Nikki’s trailer now rewards a small amount of repeatable sneak skill
- Advance time options have been added and the advance time options in the map are much more obvious

- Added a quick way to get to the player room from the map panel (Bed icon in the top left of the map) (Will unify this with a UI update in the future)
- Significantly optimized load times between scenes
- Changed compression method, game size has gone from nearly 7GB to ~3GB

- Fixed Wormwood payday retriggering if the player left and entered their room again on monday morning
- Fixed Ui position for resolution settings drop down

- Fixed issue of Nikki face ride scene at midnight having no sound playing

- Fixed audio issue with traveling from the farmhouse to the barn area making audio play even after turning the volume all the way down
- Fixed audio issue when accessing the computer, even if the players volume as 0 it still played a sound effect when “logging in”
- Fixed the home arrow not appearing when traveling to the barn in the afternoon
- Fixed being able to press ESC to close the text input box during cheats entering or Character name input
- Adjusted the hallway to be less confusing (Previously it was kitchen on the left and living room on the right, now it's the opposite)
- Fixed empty choice box appearing when attempting to gift a second item to Hibiscus and Nikki
- Temporarily moved advance time and made it more obvious to where it is in the map panel, will change this once UI artwork is done
- Fixed issue of Hibiscus grind scene not working on thursday and monday
