Soul Puppet

Everett wakes up one morning to find his loving mother looks like an eldritch horror, and he's the only one in town who can see it. Everyone else is a believer with no doubts; he's the skeptic who suddenly has to deal with the preternatural crawling out of the woodwork.

His mother seems possessed, his worldview is wrecked, and the one person he could always talk to is now the source of his problem. The fix, apparently, is meeting a nice girl. Naturally, that girl turns out to have her own connection to the things Everett can suddenly perceive, and romance gets tangled up with whatever is actually going on in this town.

You play as Everett trying to hold his life together while sorting fact from horror, talking to the people around him, and following the relationships that form along the way. It's a visual novel about perception and paranoia as much as it is about romance, with the supernatural treated as something genuinely unsettling rather than background dressing.
