Shadows of Deceit

John's death leaves you and your mother Susan clearing out his attic, where an old book jolts you both with something dark and seductive the moment you touch it. A drunken night later drops you into a dream where a self-proclaimed Goddess of Temptation, Elaria, explains that your father bought his wealth and pleasure with a pact, and now that debt has landed on you.

The setup is a family secret dressed up as a supernatural bargain: a dead father's hidden deal, a mother pulled into the same strange energy, and a goddess who wants something from both of you before she'll explain the rest.

You spend your time working through the fallout of that inheritance, reading the story, making choices, and steering how far things go with the women now orbiting the pact, Susan included. It runs on dialogue and decisions rather than mechanics, so the pace is set by how much of the temptation you're willing to indulge.
