Ryan and Lucia move to a new Italian city to start university, each landing at a different campus, and Ryan almost immediately falls into an intense sexual relationship with Amanda while settling into a new friend group with Chris, Rob, and Sarah. The tone is blunt about what's coming, right down to admitting the uncensored content is rough enough that you're better off finding out for yourself.

As a kinetic novel there's no branching to speak of: you move through Ryan's new life and its escalating entanglements in order, watching rather than steering. One scene stands apart from the rest, a rape in the school gym that includes scat content, and it isn't optional or skippable.
