Red Ops: The First Infection

Red, a private organization, drags Zach and Chris into a covert operation that starts as a simple hire-and-go job and ends up staring down a man-made virus built to turn people into flesh-eating monsters. The tone stays grounded in the mission rather than played for laughs.

The two men are sent to trace the origins of the disease before it can trigger a full outbreak, and the story follows what they find and who they end up trusting along the way.

As a visual novel, the player moves through the investigation as Zach, reading through briefings and encounters and making choices that shape how close he gets to Chris and the other men pulled into the operation, with the romance and physical side of that relationship playing out alongside the outbreak plot rather than replacing it.

A side story has since been added, expanding on the same world without changing the core mission at its center.
