When Agnes notices something wrong spreading through her university classmates, she hires the one fixer too broke and too stubborn to be owned by a corporation. Van Arkride takes the job, and the city's usual arrangement of favors, leverage, and quiet ruin starts coming apart around him.

The story unfolds in a corporate-run city where everyone with real power already answers to someone else, and Agnes's problem turns out to be bigger than one missing classmate. Chapters shift between viewpoints, so the same events get replayed through Van, Sara, Agnes, and Elaine depending on whose chapter it is, with the wider cast dropping in for smaller roles as scenes require.

Play is reading-driven, moving chapter to chapter as new character perspectives open up rather than branching into separate paths. The game borrows its cast and setting heavily from the Legend of Heroes/Trails series, reworked into its own thing, and no familiarity with that series is needed to follow what's happening, though longtime fans shouldn't expect a faithful retelling.
