No Saints Among Us

Lana starts out as the one pure thing on a college campus built on leverage, and the game spends its runtime taking that away from her one favor, one debt, one silence at a time.

Underneath the classes and small talk is an actual chain of command: a former cop who now runs things, a student working both sides of every deal, and someone watching from the shadows who Lana can't identify. She didn't sign up for any of it. Nobody in this story did. But the price of getting pulled in is paid in obedience, and the game is blunt about the fact that wanting something and choosing it stop being the same thing pretty quickly for her.

You follow Lana through that slide as a visual novel, reading her way into rooms she shouldn't be in and watching the people around her decide what she's for. There's no separate management layer to fuss with, just choices that narrow her options a little further each time, dressed up as favors.
