About
Neko-chan sits on your desktop, not in a story, and waits for you to click on her while you do whatever else you were doing on your computer. There's no plot to speak of, just a companion who's always there.
You pick her up, drag her around the screen, and build her look from scratch through the customization tools. Beyond that, you pose her and interact with her directly, shaping small scenes rather than following any set path. The sex toys, spanking, and tentacle content mentioned in the tags exist as things you can trigger through these interactions rather than scripted events tied to a script or characters. It's less a game with an arc and more a persistent presence you fiddle with between other tasks, built around the idea that she's always on hand when you want her.
Changelog
- Hi everyone! The second wave of updates is here, and there’s quite a lot to cover!
- Companion Mode!
- First and foremost, there’s a brand-new feature: Companion Mode! You can enable it from the Settings Panel. When activated, Neko-chan will stay in place instead of walking or running around. You’ll also be able to precisely choose her position on the screen, including the Y-axis. Think of it as a “V-Tuber” style setup
- More Content
- New content has been added! This includes two succubus outfits, a standalone tail, a new hoodie, an oversized T-shirt, a short black hairstyle, and more. Clipping issues with the “Leggings” and “Leather Micro” outfits have also been fixed.
- Additionally, support for “Bulge” has been introduced for many shorts and bottom clothing options (this only applies when using futa and varies depending on size).
- Regarding Music Issues
- A small number of players were still experiencing audio syncing problems. This update includes adjustments aimed at fully resolving those issues. In the meantime, a new “Dance Now” button has been added to the Music Panel, whether there's music playing or not, you can now make Neko-chan start dancing!
- I highly recommend to update C++ Redistributable if you haven't done that in a while, probably fixes the issue!
- There's also support for monitors with different DPI, in a multiscreen setup, and some other small hotfixes.
- Once again, thank you all for the amazing support over the past week! If you’re enjoying the game, leaving a 5-star rating ⭐ really helps (both for this game and the demo).
- The update is available now, have fun!
- Hello everyone, here’s the first patch for the game! Lots of changes this time:
- First up, some people had issues with the Music Sync feature not working. Before, it required having .NET 6+ SDK installed to access certain Windows features. Now it comes precompiled in the new version, so it should work right away
- The game is still limited to one monitor, but you can now switch it between multiple monitors from the Settings panel.
- I also moved Futa content into its own category and added a bit more configuration. This will make it easier to expand with more options later on
- There’s also a small popup at the start of the game. After walking around your screen for a bit, Neko will turn to face you, since a few people mentioned that. And remember, you can always rotate her by dragging her feet when she’s not walking or running.
- Lastly, there’s a new “Clothes” layer: Tails! You can currently equip Neko-chan with shark and cat tails.
- Big thanks to everyone who’s supported the project so far, the launch has been going great.
- I’ve got plenty more content planned over the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
- Hey everyone!
- After more than 2 years since it released, a brand new version of Neko – Desktop Pet is finally here!
- While it's kinda similar to the first game, I’ve added a ton of improvements, I have rebuilt it completely from the ground up.
- Neko-Chan now acts as a "Desktop-Pet"; she can roam around your screen, chase your mouse and dance to the beat! This last part I think it's the most fun (more info in the game page)
- I’ll be dropping updates over the next few weeks, so if there’s something you’d love to see added, let me know in the comments.
- Cheers
