Nagisa Quest

Demons burn Nagisa's village, kill her parents, and drag her younger sister Shizuku off into the dark, so she picks up a sword and goes looking for the officer responsible. The setup is grim and played straight, with no wink at the camera.

Ripetto, one of the Demon King's officers, led the attack, and Nagisa is convinced Shizuku is being held wherever he is. She becomes an adventurer to get strong enough to find out, and the quest to hunt him down is the spine of the game.

Combat is turn-based and leans hard on status effects rather than simple damage races, so fights against demons and monster girls can spiral into corruption, mind control, or transformation before Nagisa ever lands a killing blow. Losing has consequences beyond a game-over screen, and the world she's fighting through is built to punish her as much as reward her for pressing on toward Ripetto.
