About
You run things from above here: form squads, farm resources, grow the settlement's economy, and pick routes across procedurally generated maps, then let the fight play out in passive mode instead of micromanaging every swing of a sword.
The whole game is hand-drawn pixel art, built around three unique NPCs, thirteen enemy types, and eight kinds of troops, with a deliberate focus on palette work and expressive character poses rather than generic sprite spam. The core loop rests on a city economy where you dispatch squads on expeditions and reinvest whatever they haul back into the settlement, while tile map generation means no two trips look the same. Army composition matters too: you mix unit types and reshuffle your roster depending on what a given expedition demands, and you can dial the threat level of a location up or down, with harder settings dumping more enemies, better base loot, and rarer gear drops on you.
None of this happens in a vacuum from the people back home. Talking with city residents shapes their loyalty or submission and their Lust toward you, and their dialogue and attitude shift as those meters move. Story progression runs through text-based events built on choices with real weight, there are no clean "good" options, and every decision leaves consequences that ripple through your faction and the world around it. Lust growth is also what gates the game's spicier art, so building those relationships pays off in more than just battle logistics.

- Note
- Some backgrounds and maps are AI-generated and artist-edited. I don't know what that does for you, but now you know. Over time, those sprites will be replaced with entirely human-drawn ones to avoid any chance of a machine uprising.
- If you encounter the bug where your ships' cargo inventories disappear, extract the files from the archive into your
- Mythical Expansiongame folder, then advance time once in-game. The ships' cargo inventories should be restored.
