My Girlfriend and My Nightmare

Alan is stuck in a dead-end job when his childhood friend Nala shows up out of nowhere and moves in with him, offering no real explanation why. He should be glad. Instead he's still hung up on Clara, his ex-girlfriend, who died, and her memory keeps pulling him backward while Nala tries to build something in the present.

The story moves through a sandbox setup: work, home, the people in between, with choices that push Alan either toward Nala or deeper into grief he can't seem to put down. Side systems like lockpicking, a shop, and a card-game hallucination sequence break up the routine without changing what the game is actually about.

There's also an option to rename Alan, if the default doesn't suit you.
