The job is cover. Years ago, something happened to you at a college just like this one, and it never really ended. Taking the mentor post is the only way back into whatever unfinished business you left behind, and the special mission that brought you here runs alongside the daily grind for as long as you can keep both plates spinning.

Day to day, you patrol the halls, check in on clubs and dorm rooms, and catch students bending rules they shouldn't. Those rounds double as your excuse to get close to the people who matter to the mission, so watching and reporting is as much the game as anything else. Progress is measured in days, with the story doled out a chapter at a time rather than all at once.
