Months after the first part, the husband takes over the story this time, now running a new psychiatric department and drowning in the work that comes with it. Success has cost him closeness with Eva, and the two end up in family therapy trying to name what's gone wrong between them.

Around him, life keeps moving without much input from him. Karin balances nursing work with her studies, Lana and Dean start at the hospital's university program, and the M.S.C. program sits quiet in the background, not gone, just waiting. The protagonist has a new house and a better title, and somehow less idea than ever what's actually happening with the women in his life.

You play him deciding whether to close that distance or let it become permanent, poking into the hospital's quieter corners and other people's secrets along the way. Choices affect how those relationships develop, and the game treats him as someone who eventually has to act, not just watch from the sidelines.
