Karigurashi Ren’ai: Living on Borrowed Love

You come back to the town where you grew up, and the remaster’s whole pitch is that it hasn’t changed the feeling of that homecoming, just sharpened the picture. ASa Project’s original mix of easy comedy and small-town warmth is still the point; the new visuals are there to serve it, not replace it.

There isn’t much of a plot beyond that return and whatever reunions it sets off, so the game leans on its cast and its choices rather than a driving story. You read, you pick your responses, and the paths branch out toward different endings depending on who you end up close to. It’s voiced throughout, which does a lot of the heavy lifting in scenes that swing between gentle romance and rougher, more forceful material without much warning between them.
