About
A curse turned Diane into a futa, and the only way out is down. She has to fight her way through the Empress's dungeon to break the spell, one floor at a time.
The setup is simple revenge-slash-survival: descend, confront the Empress, undo what she did. Along the way the dungeon itself seems built to make that harder than it should be, with temptation working as much against Diane as any monster.
Play is turn-based combat mixed with exploration and puzzles, standard dungeon-crawler structure with battle-fuck encounters folded into the fights rather than sitting off to the side. Losing a fight doesn't just cost health, it costs Diane something else, which is the whole point of the curse mechanic.
Changelog
v0.2.5c
- This is not exactly the kind of update I expected to be posting after such a long silence, but here it finally is: the first release of the new Infinity Dungeon remake, now rebuilt from RPG Maker VX Ace into RPG Maker MZ.
- As some of you may know, the original game was made in VX Ace, which means a lot of its logic was written in Ruby and built around systems that do not exist the same way in MZ. Because of that, a huge part of the project had to be translated, rebuilt, or adapted into JavaScript while trying to preserve the original behavior as closely as possible.
- That includes the custom menu, battle system, HUD, popups, picture animations, event scripts, movement behavior, save flow, encrypted file loading, and many other small systems that you guys usually never see directly, but that basically hold the whole game together!
- The main goal of this remake is to give Infinity Dungeon a much better foundation going forward. Now the project is now in a much better place for future updates, better performance, portability to different platforms, etc etc.
- That said, this is still the first public version of the remake, so please treat it as a fresh square one release. I tested it very thoroughly, but because so many core systems were rebuilt, there may still be issues I missed. Please let me know if you find any bugs!
- I know the wait has been ridiculous, and I really appreciate the patience and support. I’m honestly relieved to finally have the project running in MZ!
