Hurricane

A talented tattoo artist stuck in a dead-end job, surrounded by people who take more than they give, decides that one lucky break is all that stands between her and something better. Rachel's story doesn't play it as an easy fantasy climb; the people she meets along the way force her to work out what love, trust, loyalty and forgiveness are actually worth to her.

The plot follows Rachel out of her rut and into relationships that complicate her plans as much as they help them, including romantic and sexual entanglements that test how far she'll bend to get ahead. Clawing her way up turns out to be messier than she expected, and the people offering to help aren't necessarily doing it for free.

You move through Rachel's days as choices and conversations, steering who she gets close to and how much of herself she gives up along the way. It's early days for her story, so what's here is a first chapter rather than the whole climb.
